slac show coming down next week. home project for a friend hasn't been touched for months. no new art in the works at this moment.

went to slac and shot the zaftig dolls in their new location. well-lit and in a key location.

i'm pleased.

fence cats is hanging. i'm keeping it. it's pretty cute.

i took on a last minute painting project that sounded like fun.

sugarhouse, one of the neighborhoods where we hang out near where we live, has a big empty space where developers demo'd (?) buildings and haven't started rebuilding yet. big empty space - big fence around it.

sugarhouse also has a big july 4th fireworks show. to spruce up the 'hood, kirkham's (sporting goods) donated a bunch of canvas to be painted and hung on the fence. i scored a big piece and am painting a warholesque abstract cat piece. we can either donate it to the them to possibly use again next year somewhere or we can get it back. i originally was going to donate it. it's so cute, i'm thinking about getting it back. i should finish it tomorrow.

i picked up the unprimed canvas thursday afternoon. the pieces are due on monday (or tuesday if we're desperate).


quick turnaround, eh? it forced me to do a simple clear piece. i went for fun and happy based on the concept of the art placement and purpose.

the cats are so darn cute!
